Pfizer CEO wins "Jewish Nobel Prize"

Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog presented the Genesis Award, also known as the “Jewish Nobel Prize”, to Pfizer CEO Albert Burla at a ceremony Wednesday night.

This is reported by The Jerusalem Post.

“Saving human life is a fundamental Jewish value. Today we honor Dr. Burla – the living embodiment of this ancient Jewish principle,” said Stan Polovetz, founder and chairman of the Genesis Prize Foundation.

Dr. Albert Burla was announced as the recipient of the 9th Genesis Prize in January 2022 for his leadership in developing a COVID-19 vaccine that has saved millions of lives.

Albert Burla refused the $1 million award and asked for the Fund donate funds to create a Holocaust Museum in Greece.
