Peruvian archaeologists have discovered about 30 pre-Inca graves in a cemetery belonging to the Chancay people, who inhabited the valleys of the central coast of Peru from 1000 to 1500 AD.
The newly discovered 800-year-old graves have allowed experts to learn more about the Chancai culture, which has been little studied, Peter Van Dalen, an archaeologist at the University of San Marcos, told Reuters.
