Peru: bus plunges off cliff, killing dozens

At least 25 people died in northern Peru after a bus carrying 60 passengers crashed off a cliff in the early hours of Saturday, January 27, police told local media.
The Peruvian Transportation Authority confirmed the accident in a statement, without giving the number of deaths or injuries.
The tragedy involving the Q'Orianka Tours Aguila Dorada bus occurred in the El Alto region in the north Peru.
According to preliminary information, the bus passed a timely safety check and was insured against accidents.
