Pegasus used to spy on Finnish diplomats

Pegasus was used to spy on Finnish diplomats

The Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that the Pegasus spyware developed by the Israeli company NSO has been used to spy on Finnish diplomats.

The relevant information has been released on the website of the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministry noted that the Pegasus program hacked the phones of diplomats who worked abroad. At the same time, malware “infected” phones unnoticed by their owners. Using Pegasus, attackers could collect data from devices and even use their functions.

The Finnish Foreign Ministry does not name those who could be behind the organization of surveillance. It is noted that an investigation was conducted in the fall-winter 2021-2022. The tracking process has been stopped.
