Pediatrician: “Quarantine hurts children more than Omicron”

“There is no reason why children should pay an extra price. We must continue the vaccination campaign, be careful about wearing masks and at the same time return them to their routine as much as possible,” Cohen said.

The doctor stressed: “We see how quarantine for children can provide some health protection, but it comes at a high emotional and social cost. We need to take this into account, and also that the quarantine puts children at least as much risk, if not more, than the Omicron option.”
