Palestinians allowed to fly from Israeli airport

Israel HaYom reports that the Israel Airports Authority is preparing the first international flights for PA residents from Ramon Airport in Eilat.

Flights will be routed to Istanbul.

Until now, the only way for Palestinians to fly abroad for holidays is through Jordan, after crossing the Allenby Bridge checkpoint.

The pilot project at Ramon Airport is to be expanded with approval Minister of Defense Benny Gantz.
