The PA has no intention of resuming security cooperation with Israel despite pressure from the US and other Western countries. According to officials, “the Palestinian leadership has decided not to succumb to the threat and will continue to take measures aimed at ensuring the protection of the Palestinians.”
Wasel Abu Yousef, a member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, told Voice Palestine” that the decision of the Palestinian authorities is to “continue to determine relations with the occupying state, stop security coordination, not succumb to Israeli threats and take measures aimed at ensuring the protection of our people.”
Recall that on January 26 in Ramallah announced the termination of security coordination with Israel after the counter-terrorist raid of the Israeli military in Jenin. Then 10 Palestinians were killed, including 9 armed militants and one civilian. The PA intends to file another complaint with the UN Security Council and the International Criminal Court over this raid.
