Pakistan-based hacker group APT-36 launched a phishing campaign against Indian government employees. The criminals used Google ads and fake websites to collect the credentials of various officials using a Trojan virus, according to the website of the US company Zscaler

Attackers used the popularity of the Kavach application to steal credentials. Malicious domains have been brought to the top of Google searches in India with ads.
