PA asks UN for 'international protection' from Israel

The Palestinian Authority will ask the UN Security Council to intervene and provide “international protection” from Israel after today's IDF raid in Nablus.
PLO Secretary General Hussein al-Sheikh made such a statement.
“The PA will request international protection for our Palestinian people in light of the ongoing crimes of the occupation.” ;, he said.
According to al-Sheikh, Ramallah hopes for help and “decisive action.” by the UN Security Council.
Violent clashes broke out during the IDF raid, as a result of which 10 Palestinians died and more than 100 were injured.
Police Chief Kobi Shabtai in anticipation of possible provocations brought law enforcement officers to a state of high alert, which was announced by Minister of Homeland Security Itamar Ben-Gvir.
