At the foot of Mount Tabor, unidentified people destroyed a recreation area created in memory of the seven PALMAH fighters who died in the Israeli War of Independence in the battle of Beit Keshet.
Local residents I contacted the Amakim County Police Department.
“Yesterday morning, as usual, I took a morning walk in the area of the stream. When I approached the place of rest, I saw that the benches and the stone table were broken.
I was surprised to understand that this was deliberate vandalism. These people came here to destroy the pleasant resting place created here and the memory of the fighters of the Palmach. My eyes literally went black. The amount of damage is huge. This seating area has 5-6 stone benches and picnic tables, everything was well equipped. I don’t know why these barbarians needed to destroy a place that everyone who walks in the forest park loves very much,” said Hana Levi Atali, a resident of the village of Kfar Tavor.
