On Sunday, Canada's capital declared a state of emergency amid widespread protests against vaccination certificates.

Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson said all demonstrations posed “a serious danger and a threat to the safety of residents.

Hundreds of trucks stand outside the Parliament of Canada. Protesters are urged to leave, but they do not agree.

Truck drivers have built a field kitchen and set up logistics centers in a park in the city center. On Sunday, February 6, police cordoned off the park and arrived at the stadium to seize fuel canisters and vehicles.

Seven people were arrested. More than 60 criminal investigations are underway.
