Operation Breakwater: two detainees, weapons seized

On the night of January 13, the IDF, the Magav, the Shin Bet and the police conducted another raid as part of the counter-terrorist operation Breakwater. in Judea and Samaria.

In total, only two people were detained on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activities that night. They were captured in the village of Jalkamus, not far from Jenin.
As part of a raid in the Arab village of Akbara, populated by refugees, the fighters found a Carlo submachine gun in one of the houses. and ammunition.
In the Jilazun refugee camp, near Ramallah, Israeli forces were attacked. Several Palestinians threw stones, Molotov cocktails and improvised explosives at them.
Riot control equipment, including gunfire, was used in response. There are wounded among the attackers. There are no losses or casualties among the Israeli forces.
The arrested suspects and weapons seized during the operation were handed over to the Shin Bet for further investigation.
