In Ontario, Canada, a state of emergency has been declared amid ongoing trucker protests against vaccination certificates.

This was announced on Friday, February 11, by the premier of the province of Doug Ford.

“I will convene the cabinet to use the legal authority to urgently issue executive orders that make it clear that it is illegal and punishable to block and impede the movement of goods, people and services through critical infrastructure,” — Ford warned.

He promised that more lawsuits against truckers would be filed soon. Protesters will be fined and possibly jailed for not following government orders.
