Online referendum: 5.6 million people voted for the independence of 5 regions of the Russian Federation

At once 5 Russian regions took part in an online referendum for the separation of territories from Russia, organized by the initiative group. The voting took place from February 16 to 28, and more than 5.6 million people took part in it, Ghall reports citing the organizers' website.
At the referendum, people expressed their position on the fate of Koenigsberg (Kaliningrad and the region), Kuban (Krasnodar region), Ingria (St. Petersburg and Leningrad region), Ural and Siberia.
The results are as follows:
Koenigsberg: 72.1% for independence, 27.9% &mdash ; against;
Kuban: 55.7% for independence, 44.3% — against;
Ingria: 66.2% for independence, 33.8% — against;
Urals: 68.2% for independence, 31.8% — against.
Siberia: 63.9% for independence, 36.1% — against;
“The results of online referendums showed two important trends”, — organizers note. — "First — the ideas of the independence of the regions took root in the society of the peoples inhabiting the “Russian Empire”. The second — Russia's authorities are afraid of free citizens and the results of their will.”
“Successfully held referendums – this is only the first sign on the way of self-determination of the republics”, — the initiators said, noting that there is a lot of work to be done to legitimize the results of the online referendum.
