Nuclear power helps fight carbon emissions

How the world is trying to reduce carbon emissions with nuclear power

The United Kingdom, where reactors currently produce about 15% of electricity, wants to increase this number to 25% by 2050.

The United States allocates $6 billion in nuclear subsidies to support national nuclear generation.

France plans to build new nuclear power plants, while other European countries, in particular Belgium, Finland and Slovakia are extending the life of their reactors.

Germany, which planned to complete the operation of the country's last three nuclear power units, has also extended their operation. Even Japan, where the 2011 Fukushima-1 disaster caused many bans and restrictions, is now returning to the use of nuclear energy.
