Norway steps up measures against COVID

Norway strengthens measures against COVID

The Norwegian authorities are strengthening measures against the coronavirus pandemic in the capital region, The Times of Israel reports.

Now residents of the region will be required to wear protective masks in public transport, shopping centers, shops and taxis where social distancing is impossible. In addition, people will, if possible, have to work from home.

A limitation is also imposed on the number of participants in events. For example, closed private events can only be attended by up to 100 people.

New measures are being introduced after the Omicron strain was discovered in one of the participants in a Christmas dinner in Oslo, which was attended by children.
