The authorities of North Korea (DPRK) reported that more than 18 thousand cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in the country. This is reported by the Yonhap agency.

In addition, the first 6 deaths from coronavirus have been confirmed in North Korea. One of the deaths is related to the Omicron strain.

“Currently, up to 187,800 people are isolated and being treated,” the Korean Central News Agency said.

Recall that North Korea announced the first cases of coronavirus infection this week – the first time since the beginning of the pandemic.
