Early Friday morning, Israeli police arrested six people suspected of involvement in the riots that gripped the city of Umm al-Fahm that night. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
Riots erupted after the murder of 30-year-old Umm al-Fahm resident Muhammad Hamza Burgul on Thursday. Probably, the nighttime incidents were revenge for the murder of Burgul.
Thus, four houses and three cars were set on fire. Firefighters and police arrived at the scene. The rioters attacked the police, and law enforcement officers used special means to disperse the crowd.
The suspects will be taken to trial in Hadera, where a decision will be made to extend their detention.
