New York truck driver deliberately hits 8 people

The NYPD on Monday arrested a U-Haul truck driver accused of deliberately hitting pedestrians, injuring at least eight people.
As a result of the incident in the Bay Ridge area of the New York borough of Brooklyn, two victims were hospitalized in critical condition, and two – in serious condition, City Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell told reporters. According to the commissioner, four other wounded suffered minor injuries, including a police officer.
Shortly after the arrest, Justin Brennan, a city council member, reported that “was deliberate”.
