New British submarine can circumnavigate the globe without surfacing

The British Navy has received a new multi-purpose nuclear submarine Anson, which is designed to destroy enemy ships and submarines, gather intelligence and protect other ships of the Royal Navy both above and below water.

According to the Daily Mail, this is the most advanced attack submarine in the world, capable of hitting ground targets at a distance of up to 1,600 kilometers. Anson is armed with 38 Spearfish torpedoes and Tomahawk Block V cruise missiles. 7400 tons, hull length – 97 meters, crew – 98 people. Speed under water – over 30 knots. Working depth – 300 meters.

Thanks to the Rolls Royce onboard nuclear reactor, this submarine does not need to be refueled during its 25-year service life. Since it can also purify water and air, the time spent underwater is limited only by the amount of food on board, meaning Anson is able to circumnavigate the globe without resurfacing.
