Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu was unable to leave his apartment in Bnei Brak for more than two hours. He was in it because of the crowds of thousands on the streets of the city, who had gathered for the funeral of Rabbi Chaim Kanevsky.

Netanyahu came to Bnei Brak to honor the memory of the rabbi. After visiting Kanevsky's house, Netanyahu posted a video in which he said: “This is a huge loss for the Torah of Israel and for the people of Israel.”

Netanyahu was taken out of Bnei Brak by a special police team.
