NASA managed to capture Leonard's comet: video

NASA telescopes managed to capture the flight of the ultrafast comet Leonard, which last passed the Earth 80 thousand years ago.

The agency's website specifies that the closest object came to the planet on December 12.

The comet's flight was captured from the Solar Orbiter spacecraft. Clarifies that it will be visible in the sky in both the northern and southern hemispheres by the end of this month.

On January 3, the comet will approach the Sun. If it does not disintegrate, it will be thrown into interstellar space, because the space object will never return to Earth.
