Nahal brigade commander dies of heart attack

The IDF press service published the results of the work of the commission investigating the circumstances of the death of the commander of the Nahal brigade. Colonel Sharon Azman.

Commander of the Nahal Brigade Colonel Sharon Azman died on the morning of July 1 while training in the gym.
Azman collapsed and died at the brigade headquarters in Kfar Yona.
Azman was promoted to commander of the brigade three days before his death. He was 42 years old and is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Asman commanded the 931st Battalion during Operation Protective Rock. and was wounded.
The IDF said in a statement: “Based on the findings of the Commission of Inquiry and the opinion of medical experts, it can be concluded with a high degree of certainty that the cause of death was a heart attack.”
