 A music service was blocked in Russia because of a song by a Ukrainian artist

The decision to block by Roskomnadzor was made on January 23, 2023, and entered into force on March 9.

The reason for the sanctions was the page that contains information about one of the songs of the Ukrainian artist Jalsomino . It is assumed that this is the track “Chernobaevka”, in which the performer mentions the failures of the Russian military in the settlement of the same name.

Last.fm – music website founded in the UK in 2002. It uses Audioscrobbler's music recommendation system to create a detailed profile of each user's musical taste by recording information about the tracks they listen to.

It is also a social network that connects users with similar musical tastes and allows them to discover new artists and songs .

The service offers both free and paid services depending on the country and functions. As of March 2020, there were over 100 million registered users.
