Morocco is interested in the Israeli Barak 8 system

The Israel Aerospace Industries defense concern is negotiating with Morocco on the sale of the Barak 8 medium-range air defense system.

This is reported by The Jerusalem Post.

It is specified that the Moroccan defense budget for 2022 allocated $ 12.8 billion to modernize the armed forces.

Rabat held talks with several suppliers from different countries on the purchase of medium and large air defense and missile defense systems range, including the American Patriot system, the Chinese North Industries Group Corporation Limited (NORINCO) Sky Dragon 50 surface-to-air class and the French VL Milka short-range.

The Barak 8 MR-SAM is capable of shooting down enemy aircraft at a distance of 50-70 kilometers. It is designed to protect naval vessels from aerial threats such as missiles and drones.
