Half a million people quarantined as China's export hub faces an outbreak of Covid-19
In China's economically important Zhejiang province, more than 540,000 people were quarantine due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
In some areas of the export and industrial center of the PRC, the activities of a number of companies were suspended.
On Tuesday, 44 new cases of infection were recorded there, as a result which, since the end of last week, the number of infected has reached almost 200.
The situation is aggravated by the fact that the first case of infection with the new Omicron coronavirus strain has been recorded in China.
