Monkeypox vaccination: Israelis urged to get second shot

Israelis who received their first dose of monkeypox vaccine can now receive a second dose.

The Times of Israel reports.

The monkeypox vaccination involves the patient receiving two shots a few weeks apart. But when Israel received the first batch of shots this summer, supplies were limited and only one shot was given to those who were eligible.

The Ministry of Health now allows and asks everyone who received the first shot now make a second one. In a statement, the ministry “calls” everyone who received their first dose more than four weeks ago, get another shot.
