Monkeypox outbreak at LGBT festival in Spain

< p>

More than 100 confirmed cases of monkeypox have already been reported in Europe. Maspalomas Pride, held in Spain and attended by 80,000 people, became the second focus of the infection.

Cases of monkeypox have already been registered in 12 countries. The largest number of cases was found in Spain, Portugal, Canada and the UK.

Most of the cases belong to the LGBT community and took part in the gay parade, so doctors suggest that the virus can be transmitted not only by contact, but also by sexual way.

Despite new cases being reported daily, epidemics like COVID-19 are not predicted by the health services. Also, the consequences of the disease for the life and health of people do not cause serious concern. In most cases, the disease resolves in a few weeks without special treatment.
