The Israeli Ministry of Health has instructed medical personnel to be on the lookout for monkeypox, a viral disease that has been detected in several countries around the world.

Recently, outbreaks of monkeypox have been recorded in the UK, Spain, Portugal, and Italy. In total, about 50 cases have been registered in the world. Not a single case has been registered in Israel yet.
