Moldova to ban broadcasting of pro-Russian TV channels

Moldova has decided to stop the broadcasting of Russian and pro-Russian channels. This was announced by the Commission for Emergency Situations of the Government of the country. The licenses of TV channels have been suspended for the duration of the state of emergency, introduced due to the war in Ukraine, for incorrect coverage of events. According to TASS, Moldova will turn off the “First in Moldova”, “RTR-Moldova”, “NTV-Moldova”, as well as two local “Orhei-TV” and "Akcent-TV".
