Moderna begins HIV vaccine clinical trials
Moderna has announced the start of clinical trials of an mRNA HIV vaccine.
According to the company's website, 56 healthy, HIV-negative people will take part in the trials. Researchers will assess vaccine tolerance and immune response to understand how well the body is producing antibodies to HIV.
The study is scheduled to end in May 2023, but preliminary results may come sooner.
