Israeli doctors from the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya performed a rare operation: they returned an ear to a 6-year-old child.

According to Ynet, the patient There was a boy who was born with an underdeveloped auricle (a disease called microtia). Doctors successfully reattached a 3D-printed ear to his child.

During the operation, which lasted about three hours, doctors implanted a 3D-printed synthetic ear prosthesis in the child. The prosthesis "covered" the child's skin, resulting in an ear.

It is noted that this operation will not restore hearing to the child. The child's mother burst into tears when she saw the results of the doctors' work.
