As of October 1, there is a steady downward trend in the number of people entering from this country on the border with Russia. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Marat Akhmetzhanov, at a government meeting on migration issues.

According to him, from September 21 to 28, a large influx of migrants from the Russian Federation was recorded in the country – 2-3 times higher than usual.

“At the same time, over the past two days, there has been a steady downward trend in the number of people entering from this country (22.5 thousand people entered on September 29, 10.1 thousand people; September 30 – 14.9 thousand people/11.6 thousand people). During the reporting period, 382 citizens of the Russian Federation applied for permanent residence and 64 – to obtain citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
