MH17 case: conclusions of the court in The Hague

The District Court of The Hague made a conclusion in the case of the downed passenger plane flight MH17 of Malaysian Airlines in the sky over the Donbass in 2014. According to the court, evidence was obtained that the shelling was carried out from the territory where the separatists and the armed forces of the Russian Federation had already acted jointly against the Ukrainian military. According to Themis, already in mid-May there was an international armed conflict in Ukraine. The accused, therefore, cannot claim immunity until the Russian Federation takes responsibility for the actions of the separatists. The court noted that Russia had overall control over the so-called “DPR” since April 2014.
