Meta will launch a new paid subscription service on Facebook and Instagram, introducing verification for users.
This was announced by the company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
The service will be named Meta Verified. According to Zuckerberg, it will be a subscription service that will allow users to verify their account with a passport. Unlike other messengers, the name will have a blue icon instead of a green check mark.
“Users will get extra security and direct access to customer support,” — said in the message.
According to Zuckerberg, the cost for iOS starts at $14.99 per month, while others start at $11.99. The service will launch first in Australia and New Zealand this week. And in other countries it will appear"soon".
