Meta unveils Quest Pro VR headset with eye and face tracking

Quest Pro — A professional VR headset built primarily for work. Meta will continue to develop the Quest line, which will include cheaper models.

One of the main differences of the device compared to the Quest 2 is the set of cameras aimed at the gadget user's face. They track human eye movements and facial expressions, including for transmission to virtual avatars.

Quest Pro is equipped with high-resolution outdoor cameras that capture an image of the surrounding world for visualization in virtual space. In this way, the headset combines virtual and augmented reality.

The device is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Plus processor, which is 50% faster than the XR2 in Quest 2.
The headset is equipped with 12 GB of RAM and 256 internal memory. For comparison, Quest 2 — 6 GB RAM.

The Quest Pro has two LCD display panels with a resolution of 1800×1920 pixels per eye. Meta claims that due to the updated design, the image contrast has increased by 75%.
