Media: Israel postpones 4th dose vaccination

Channel 13 of Israeli TV reports that the Israeli Ministry of Health has decided not to start a campaign to vaccinate people over 60 and people at risk with the 4th dose of the coronavirus vaccine in This Sunday.

In addition, according to the TV channel, the director general of the ministry, Nachman Asch, has not yet approved the campaign and is studying data from the UK indicating that Omicron causes less serious diseases.

If more such data are collected, Ash may not support the recommendation for a 4th dose of the vaccine and instead return the question for further discussion.

According to KAN, Nachman Ash is likely to make a decision by the middle of next week.
