A large-scale sandstorm has covered Iraq. International airports, educational institutions and government agencies are now closed in the country. Local residents are trying not to leave their homes.
Visibility is expected to drop to about 100 meters, and wind speeds will reach 40-50 km/h.
Sandstorms do not stop for more than a month. After one of the most powerful in early May, more than 5 thousand people turned to doctors with complaints of suffocation, one died.
