 Maccabi Haifa qualified for the Champions League

Football club "Maccabi Haifa" advanced to the Champions League. In the match with the Serbian club, the team managed to level the score in the 90th minute – 2:2. According to Channel 12, the last time “Maccabi Haifa” played in the Champions League in 2009, the team finished the group stage with no points and no goals scored. The club played against Bayern Munich, Juventus and Bordeaux.

Prime Minister Yair Lapid congratulated Maccabi Haifa with access to the Champions League. “Everyone knows that I'm a huge Maccabi Tel Aviv fan, but today I'm a Maccabi Haifa fan,” Lapid said. According to the head of government, the football club brought great pride to all citizens of Israel. “Fingers crossed for you in the Champions League,” he added.
