 Lynch in Akko: one of the participants was accused of a terrorist attack

The Haifa District Court today indicted 29-year-old Israeli Arab Ayman Zalfi, a resident of Acre, who was allegedly involved in the lynching of Jewish Acre resident Mor Janashvili last May.

According to the Times of Israel, Zalfi, a participant in the attack, was charged with an act of terrorism, grievous bodily harm with aggravated circumstances, manufacturing weapons for terrorist purposes, racial riots and a number of other offenses.

Zalfi is the sixth person charged with attacking Janashvili.

According to the indictment, Zalfi was one of dozens of masked rioters who roamed the streets of Acre on the night of May 12, throwing stones and running fe yerverki in the police and destroying public property. The rioters threw rocks and other objects at Dzhanashvili's car, causing him to lose control and crash into a wall. The man got out of the car and tried to run away, but he was severely beaten. Mor Janashvili was seriously injured.
