The American owners of Liverpool Football Club are considering selling the historic English football club in what could be one of the most expensive sports deals of all time, writes Bloomberg.

Fenway Sports Group Holdings LLC is working with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and Morgan Stanley, studying buyer interest in the English Premier League team.

Known in the US as the owner of the Boston Red Sox baseball team, Fenway Sports has acquired Liverpool for about £300m ($344m) in 2010.
