Lions escaped at Singapore airport

An emergency situation occurred at the Changi airport in Singapore: two lions escaped from their containers, in which the animals were to be delivered to a certain overseas reserve. Where the lions came from is not reported.

According to Stuff, one of the lions climbed onto the container and lay there. The lions were shot with a tranquilizer, and now the animals are “ moving away '' from sleeping pills.

A representative of Singapore Airlines (SIA) said that the incident is being investigated.

“ The main priority is the welfare of the lions. In this matter, SIA is working with the Mandai Wildlife Group, which operates the only wildlife sanctuary in Singapore equipped to care for large predators, '' Singapore Airlines said.

The incident did not delay flights.
