The opposition of the Bank and former shareholder of PrivatBank has reached a new level.
Ex-owner of PrivatBank Igor Kolomoisky is trying to block the claim of the National Bank in Switzerland through the Ukrainian courts. About it reports a press-service of the National Bank of Ukraine, reports the online edition of the Chronicle.info with reference to liga.net.
May 31, 2019, the Economic court of Kyiv will consider the case on the claim of Igor Kolomoisky to the National Bank of Ukraine and PJSC KB PrivatBank invalidate five credit agreements refinancing of the five contracts of personal guarantee Kolomoisky under these credit agreements.
“This lawsuit and these claims is an attempt by I. Kolomoisky to stop, and later to exclude the possibility of review initiated by the NBU of cases in Switzerland, indicating the reluctance of I. Kolomoysky to fulfill its obligations under the surety agreements”, — stated in the NBU.
The national Bank noted that in December 2018, the Bank filed in the court of the Republic and Canton of Geneva (residence Kolomoisky) an action to recover the debt from Kolomoisky as a financial guarantor to the NBU.
In NBU reminded that in 2016 Kolomoisky, who at the time was co-owner of a significant share of PrivatBank, concluded with the NBU, the guarantee agreements and personally committed to meet the requirements of the national Bank to repayment of refinancing loans obtained PrivatBank for 2008-2014. As actually and legally Kolomoisky is in debt to the NBU on these loans. Debt is 9.2 billion UAH.
The national Bank has revoked the license of currency for another company
18 APR 2019 OASC adopted two decisions in favor of the former owner of PrivatBank Igor Kolomoisky: canceled the contract of purchase and sale of government shares of the Bank and declared illegal the decision of the NBU, which was a list of related entities. PrivatBank Pechersky district court cancelled the personal guarantee of Kolomoisky’s PrivatBank refinancing loans.
