The Jordanian Ambassador was impatient and could not visit the Temple Mount

Jordanian and Palestinian media reports that Israeli police have rebuffed an attempt by Jordanian Ambassador to Israel Ghassan Majali to visit the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, requiring him to obtain prior permission to visit from the Israeli authorities.

Majali left the Lion's Gate area of the Old City, refusing to request such permission.

The Israeli police called the reports “fake”, saying that the ambassador arrived without any prior coordination and that the police officer did not immediately recognize him, which caused the "small" delay while the policeman contacted his commander.

At that point, Majali decided to leave, the police said, adding that “if he had waited a few more seconds, he would have entered.”
