Jim Carrey buys NFT work from Swedish artists
|News » Life Style
American actor Jim Carrey purchased an NFT work by Swedish artists Ryan Koopmans and Ali Veksel, which depicts an abandoned ward of a sanatorium in Tskhaltubo.
“[With this work] we have achieved a surreal fusion of past and future, physical and digital worlds. Several of the buildings taken as part of this project have been demolished in recent months, highlighting the theme of the cycle of growth and destruction over time,” — this is how the artists describe their work.
“A big thanks to Ryan Koopmans for his gentle portrayal of nature's subtle and ruthless transformation,” — wrote the Hollywood actor on his Twitter after the acquisition of NFT.
This one stops me. James Joyce said that’s a good thing. Thank you @ryankoopmans for gently capturing nature's exquisite and relentless reinvention. BTW you’re my first NFT. @SuperRare https://t.co/jyFoD7nKSC pic.twitter.com/hXEoQ639Py
