 Jihad missiles have killed more civilians in Gaza than IDF Airstrikes

According to a briefing by Israel Defense Forces Press Unit Commander Ran Kochava, due to failed Islamic Jihad missile launches, more innocent people died in Gaza than Israeli airstrikes during Operation Dawn.

lasted 66 hours, during which the IDF hit 170 targets, killing several high-ranking Islamic Jihad militants; and destroying much of the terrorist organization's military capability, terrorist attack tunnels and weapons depots. In its latest action on Sunday evening, the IDF destroyed three weapons depots.

Sunday was quiet after the ceasefire went into effect at 11:30 p.m., except for a few rockets fired from the Palestinian side eight minutes later. fired about 1,100 rockets, 200 of which fell in Gaza. Of the 990 rockets that crossed the border, 380 were intercepted by the Iron Dome; with a 95% success rate. The remaining 610 landed at sea and in the open.

With the exception of a few people who received shrapnel wounds on Saturday, no Israeli casualties were reported.

Palestinians reported 35 dead, 26 of whom were innocent bystanders. Of the 26 civilians, 11 were killed by Israeli airstrikes and 15 were killed by Islamic Jihad rockets that failed to leave Gaza.

According to briefing, no civilian infrastructure in Gaza was damaged during the Israeli operation.
