Japan hit by 6.1 magnitude earthquake

An earthquake of magnitude 6.1 was felt in the east of Hokkaido, Japan. This was announced by the National Research Institute of Earth Sciences and Disaster Resilience of Japan (NIED). There are no tsunami warnings.
The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 61 kilometers.
There are no reports of casualties or damage as a result of the earthquake that occurred in the area of the Namuru Peninsula.
