Israeli woman sentenced to life in UAE

An Israeli woman sentenced to death in the United Arab Emirates has her preventive measure commuted.
Authorities have accepted an appeal by lawyer Fide Kevan and commuted her death sentence to life imprisonment conclusion.
The woman was sentenced to death for drug trafficking, having previously been charged with possession of half a kilogram of cocaine.
The defendant claimed that the drugs did not belong to her.
It is worth noting that in the UAE, death sentences are usually not carried out and are replaced with other punishments.
