An Israeli woman sentenced to death in the United Arab Emirates for drug trafficking does not believe the sentence will actually be carried out. The Jerusalem Post reported.
Haifa native Fida Kevan, 43, told KAN Reshet Bet, “I never thought I would be sentenced to death, but I don't think I will.” it's going to happen – it's a modern country.”
Kevan also told her brother, “I'm not a drug dealer. I believe that justice will prevail, the justice system in the UAE is developed.
Also, the Israeli sent another request to the Crown Prince of the UAE in Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan calling for intervention.
” A terrible mistake has been made here, and if he checks the details himself, I'm sure he can help me. I'm scared and want to go home,” said Fida Kevan.
