Israeli schoolchildren's film wins BAFTA award

The film by the graduates of the Ma'aleh School in Jerusalem won a BAFTA award in the category of student films.
The Jerusalem Post reports.
A film by Shulamit Lifshitz and Oriel Berkowitz titled "Girl#60427" won the 2022 Yugo BAFTA Student Award. The film combines drama and animation and is based on the director's memories as the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor.
The judges chose this film because it is “deep and emotional” and “extraordinarily artistic expression of the experience of the third generation of Holocaust survivors.” ;.
It is noted that this is the first time that a finalist representing Israel is present at the awards ceremony.
